I'm not really sure if I just wasn't messy before Nicole came, but I do not remember cleaning as much pre baby as I do post baby. Nicole isn't that dirty because I'm kinda anal about her cleanliness (no jam hands kid for me!), but there always seems to be a lot of mess in the house.
The dishes always need to be done, the kitchen is always a mess, lots of things are untidy, and there is always laundry to do.
Even if I clean, that very same day, things are messy again. I just don't know how this keeps happening to me. I don't know if it is me or the baby, but I feel like it is me because the baby doesn't create many dishes.
This is what I get for cooking dinner every night. Things were a lot cleaner when we ate out all the time. Those were the good old days.
Matt is really good about helping me when he gets home from work, but I feel like I should do it during the day because I need to contribute to the family (since I'm not bringing in any moolah any more). I definitely prefer working to cleaning. But, I prefer being a mom to working. I am definitely getting the better deal.
Well, I'm off to do the dishes... again.

I feel the same way. I'm always tidying up, loading and unloading the dishwasher, vacuuming, doing laundry, and more, and the cycle never ends.
The scary thing is that it's only one kid so far...what's gonna happen when more come along?!?!
Kids are messy. No matter how many you have or how old they are, their existance makes your house messy.
Cleaning is a never ending cycle whether you have kids or not. But, eating at home all the time makes a difference. And, the laundry thing is Nicole's fault.
Becky, you have learned the secret of life. You finish one thing and another starts! Nicole is looking adorable as always.
Welcome to motherhood, wifehood and life. You will ever be cleaning until the kids all grow up and move away, then things will once again stay somewhat clean...until your husband leaves a mess. You have now entered another stage of life. Don't dwell on it, just enjoy all your children's childhood.
