Nicole woke up at 4:30am this morning. Reasons unknown. Matt went in and tried to get her to go back to bed, but after an hour, it was clear that she was not going to do it.
So, despite Matt's protests, I brought her into our room to watch cartoons and hopefully fall back asleep. What a fool I was. Matt and I got a little 30 minute nap before I had to get up and get ready for work. I tried again to put her back in her bed, but it resulted in many loud tears and "Mommy help me"s. So, I let her out and brought her downstairs to eat breakfast with me.
Then, I took a picture as evidence of how cheery she can be at 6 in the morning. I don't think I will ever be that cheery that early in the morning. I then put her back in the love sac to watch more cartoons, snack cup in hand, while Matt continues to sleep. Off to work I went.
Hopefully, she will go back to sleep for a little while and be a happy girl later. Being a parent is not always awesome, but I love her even when she wakes me at 4:30am.

I admire morning people! She sure looks happy to be up and at 'em.
Kids....it's like they can't tell time.
I hope, for your sake, that this is just a one-time thing or a short phase. Alexis had a phase like this (probably a little younger than Nicole is now), but it didn't last very long. It's rough when they're up that early.
OK, now multiply that times 7 and you will know how I felt many mornings. :)
